Rules of the channel #Dementia
I (Blasted Bill) started this channel because the other funny music
channels were ruled by a dictatorship of a few people in spite the will
of the people. Also, they were anti streaming radio. So I started it
with the thought it would be much more open and democratic with me as
kind of the president. At 1st there were no rules, but as time has gone
on the need for rules has become greater. I think I have always been a
fair and just facilitator and I have always tried to share the power
with those who were interested in the well being of the channel and
proved trustworthy. If you feel I haven't been fair and have been
biased and acted against the good of the channel, please me know at
info@dementiaradio.org. So here are all the rules that have been
enacted those far...
1. Respect every one.
Every one has there own opinions. Please to do not ridicule or
persecute some one for having a different opinion the you. This is not
to say you can tell some one they're wrong for having an idea in a
joking and friendly manner like me and Tseran do over Macs. Just don't
take it to far. If you really don't want to hear what they have to say,
just put them on ignore.
2. Try to keep the content PG-13. We are at least of
high school age and older, so a few swear words, a little perversion,
and connotations are fine, but please try to keep it from becoming hard
core and over board. Pretend none sexual nudity is ok though.
3. No banning regs with out good reason or agreement
from most of the other OPS. Once in #weird-al, I was banned by an OP
for several weeks simply because I thought Flood was TMBG's best album.
I saw time and time again in #w-a where a few of the OPS simply did not
like a person, so they banned them with out any real good reasons. If
you have OPS please do not ABUSE the power. If a complete strange comes
in and starts making trouble it's one thing, but abusing ops because
you feel like it is another.
4. No idling without ever talking. I idle. Lots of
other people idle. We don't care if you idle in the channel. In fact if
you're an op and you idle, it helps protect the channel. But PLEASE
DON'T idle in the channel and never talk. It's a CHAT room. If your not
going to chat, what are you doing here?
5. NO DEOPING THE BOTS UNDER ANY CIRUMSTANCE! This is
a BANNABLE offensive. Do it, we ban you. You might be allowed back in
if you can prove your not going to cause problems, but you will NEVER
have ops again.
6. PRIVATE MESSAGES ARE PRIVATE! Do NOT ever post the
contents of a private message(PM) with out permission of both parties.
If you are caught doing so, YOUR OPS WILL BE REVOKED! If you tell some
one something in PM it's obviously something you don't want on the
channel and you are telling that person cause you trust them not to
repeat it. If you do repeat it, then you can't be trusted.
