History of #dementia


The Story of  #dementia starts in #weird-al and with Warp-radio. There was a station called warp-radio(it comes and goes) and I(Blasted Bill) was a DJ there and we would talk about it on #weird-al. But 2 things happened, the owners of #w-a got upset with us talking about it and the owner of w-r got caught up in some drama on #w-a, so the 2 parted compay and a new channel was formed on a differenet net for the warp-radio people. By and by, warp-radio closed it's doors saying it would never open again. So I started my own radio station, Dementia Radio, on Nov 2nd 2000. Needing a place to talk about the station and knowing #w-a haterd of streaming audio, I started #dementia. Our membership grew with some regs only comming to #dementia and some that would hang out in both #dementia and in #w-a. By and by, we had need of a bot, so I put up AdamBoom. The reason for the name Adam is I am Blasted Bill named for the Garbage Pail Kid Blasted Billy. Blasted Billy showed up 2 times. Once with a twin of Adam Bomb, the second with the twin of Adam Boom. So orginal I wanted a bot nick of AdamBomb, but some one else had it. Occasionaly I can grab the nick I want, which is why his name changes. I 2003, Adam had some issues staying on line, so Blaksmth and MrVertigo put up Dementite. When Adam came back, She was recommisioned as our linker bot. In 2004, Blak put up Dementoy as a back up for Adam.
